About Us
First Coast Golden Doodles is located in Jacksonville Florida. We are a small, family owned and operated breeder, and our passion is simply quality bred Golden Doodles. Our goal is to produce healthy, long-living companions that shed less than their parent breed. We delight in the opportunity to be a part of your journey of adding a new fur-baby to your family.
For us, it is personal.
At First Coast Golden Doodles, all our puppies are raised right in the heart of our homes. We love that they begin early socialization from day one. Our family is full of young kids; all our puppies are well adapted to being handled by all ages when it's time to go home at eight weeks. We also begin all of our puppies on crate and litter box training, thus, making the adjustment to their new home a breeze. Starting around two or three weeks of age, we introduce them to a variety of different sounds and smells and experiences. This along with other early introductions allow us to provide you with a confident and sound puppy. All our methods of training come from Baxter and Bella training, and we encourage the continuation of those methods after they leave our home.
Extended Breeder Support
We are proud to say that we are a breeder that provides extended breeder support! We keep all our past clients in community groups online. We share training tips, exchange photos, and encourage play dates between families. We encourage you when your puppy chews up your shoes, and we celebrate with you when your puppy achieves a milestone. Our dedication to provide quality service is rooted deep in us and we are proud of our reputation.
What generation doodles do we breed?
Our family's focus is to breed F1b, F1bb, F2b and Multi-generational Golden Doodles. We are educated in canine genetics, and we pair parents together that will compliment each other in structure and composition, color, and temperament. All our parent dogs undergo health testing and screening before they are selected to breed. Our sizes that we specialize in are Standard, Medium and Mini Doodles.
Where our puppies and dogs are raised.
We do not have a "facility" per say, more so an area of our home has been dedicated to the dogs. Our momma room can hold up to three individual nurseries along with an indoor puppy play area. Each litter grows up in their own nursery where they are litter box trained and introduced to a crate once they graduate from their whelping box. Their days consist of rotations between playtime in our indoor play area, exploring outside when old enough, crate time, and ample socialization with adults and children. All our adult breeding dogs live in a home setting, either with us or our guardian families. Each one is a loved family member and gets to live their life as a beloved pet, just like they should. They enjoy going on walks, hikes, camping, beach trips etc.
Why Golden Doodles?
A question we get asked by almost every family we meet is “Why Golden Doodles?”, or “How did y'all get into breeding?” For us, it has been a lifelong journey as our family has always raised dogs, mainly poodles. Our family's first Golden Doodle was all it took for us to be hooked! With our passion for the breed paired with our son's experience at a small animal hospital and years of experience at a Quarter Horse breeding farm, we knew without a doubt that the quality of Golden Doodle we could produce was not a far-off dream. With knowledge in genetics, labor and delivery, emergency veterinarian care and more, we felt confident we could help any one of our parent dogs through the stresses of labor smoothly and raise top quality Golden Doodles. Many people ask us, "What made you decide to raise dogs?" It is something we’ve always done, and it comes second nature to us. Breeding was something we didn't start until more recently, but it is something we started after considering all the risks and rewards. We felt confident we could dedicate the time, energy and efforts into doing it at the highest level of quality. Our biggest driving factor was fueled by wanting to create the best possible puppy and a drive to help families feel complete by adding a Golden Doodle to their family.
